Skye Niseko - Kumo Restaurant Bar Manager: ¥3.9m - 4.5m

Kumo Restaurant in Skye Niseko Hotel is looking for an experienced, passionate and talented Bar Manager to join the team.
Starting Date: June (flexible)

The Role

  • Daily operations and management of the Bar/cafe section
  • Maintain inventory of all items
  • Create exciting beverage menus: cocktail, cocktail, wine and spirits
  • Create and maintain drink recipe documentation
  • Maintain beverage consistency and create specials during specific seasons
  • Reporting to the FOH Manager for An Dining/Kumo

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Bar Manager in a fast paced venue
  • Ability to drive beverage sales and meet agreed sales targets
  • Ability to manage beverage purchases and costs and meet agreed sales margins
  • Ability to train and manage a team of seasonal international staff serving international clientele
  • Coffee making skills desirable
  • Exceptional presentation
  • Shaker experience preferred
  • Language skills: Strong English needed, conversational Japanese an advantage
  • Punctual and on time for shifts
  • Ability to work efficiently and increase productivity within the bar section
  • Team-leader with ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail

Employment Package Details

Employment Period and Status: Ongoing full-time contract

Contract Value: ¥3,900,000 to ¥4,500,000 (depending on skills and experience)
(The above remuneration will be divided by 14 and paid monthly with two annual bonuses.)

Location: Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan

Working Hours: average 40 hours per week (shift times vary by season)
