Staff Accommodation

HTM offers a variety of clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation options for all of our seasonal staff. Unlike many other resorts around the world, we will be able to provide a bed for all staff that are employed with us. All of our accommodations are fully furnished and include all bedding, communal kitchens, living areas, bathroom and laundry facilities. We have a dedicated Staff Accommodation team, including live-in lodge managers in larger locations, who all help ensure our staff stay comfortable and have a safe home away from home while they enjoy their time in Niseko. Staff are welcome to arrive in our accommodation earlier than their contract start date and may also stay longer past their finish date to take advantage of the long season here in Niseko.

Our staff accommodation rental rates are heavily subsidised and include all utilities such as electricity, gas and WiFi included, and comes with basic communal cleaning supplies, rubbish bags and toilet paper. For winter 23-24, monthly rates start from just ¥5,000 per month quad share and ¥15,000 twin share (or double for couples). Limited numbers of single rooms are also available for seasonal staff in senior roles. The majority of our accommodation is twin/double share which is great for couples.

Our staff accommodation options are split 50/50 between the main ski village in Hirafu and the main town center of Kutchan. These areas are connected by free staff shuttle buses provided by HTM to assist staff living in Kutchan to commute to and from work as well as allow staff living in Hirafu to access the supermarkets and shops and other facilities in Kutchan. The location of your staff accommodation will depend on which position and department you work for within HTM.

Tajiri

Newly renovated large accommodation in Kutchan with warm and cosy twin bunk and single rooms, large communal areas and a table tennis table. Tajiri is in an ideal location, set in the centre of town and directly opposite a supermarket and within a 5 minute walking distance to restaurants, bars, karaoke and the Kutchan train station. The HTM staff shuttle bus also stops directly outside for convenience.

Kurimisou

A spacious hostel style accommodation in Kutchan situated very close to a supermarket, bars, karaoke and the Kutchan train station. Kurumisou has twin and quad bunk rooms, a large kitchen and spacious dining and living areas. The HTM staff shuttle bus stop is only a short walk away making this one of our most popular accommodation options.

Shizenkan Lodge and Backpacker

Hostel style accommodation in the Izumikyo area of Hirafu, within walking distance to the centre of Hirafu Village and ski lifts. With spacious communal areas and rooms ranging from mostly quad bunks to several twin share, these accommodations are ideal for those on a budget and wishing to be amongst the bustling atmosphere of Hirafu Village.

Hirafu Townhouses

Our Ezofuji and Midtown townhouses are three story townhouse units offering twin share and single room options. Situated in the Izumikyo area of Hirafu, these accommodations are a popular choice for those who like having the best of both worlds of enjoying the energetic atmosphere of Hirafu Village, and then returning to a more quieter living environment.
