Start Date: 18 November, 2024

• Drive the bus on a set schedule between the staff accommodations in Kutchan and the Niseko-Hirafu resort.
• Clear snow off the bus including the roof.
• Take on some additional duties as directed by the Staff Accommodation Manager (e.g. restocking supplies, minor maintenance).
• Assist in providing shuttle services for Niseko Central, Skye Niseko and Ki Niseko guests on occasion.

Required skills/experience:

• International Driving Permit with category D stamp (higher than a standard driving licence required ( Australia: MR, NZ: class 2 or above). Check your local International Driving Permit issuing body, usually Post Offices, for more details) OR
• Japanese driving licence with ogata or higher endorsement
• Reliable, punctual person, confident in their driving skills
• Winter & on-snow driving experience with passenger-carrying vehicles

What you'll be driving:

Large buses, between 29-72 in capacity. The two shuttle buses are the size of your typical city transport bus. Drivers must be confident to drive large vehicles within tight areas.

Pay Rate

• ¥2,600 - ¥2,750 per hour.
• 25% overtime allowance for hours worked above prescribed working hours for the month.
• 25% late night allowance for work between 10pm and 5am.

Employment Period

• 18 Nov, 2024 - 2 Apr 2025.
• Fully paid training at the start of the season.

Hours

• Generally 5 days per week, around 40 hours per week.

Lift Passes

• Your own Free Grand Hirafu season pass with an option of upgrading to All Mountain at an additional cost.
• If you do not need a pass, you will be offered a bonus payment of ¥45,000.

Travel Support Bonus

• ¥30,000 travel cost support bonus upon contract completion.

Subsidised Accommodation and Staff Shuttle

• Subsidised staff accommodation available in Hirafu starting from ¥5,000 per month quad share, ¥15,000 twin share (or double for couples) with all utilities, basic supplies and WiFi included.
• Free Staff shuttle available to Kutchan Town for shopping.

Free Ski & Snowboard Lessons

• Great for first-timers and beginners - free ski/snowboard group lessons with GoSnow (dependent on availability.)
